This study examined to see how students felt about using TED Talks with EFL students as part of media learning activities. The TED Talks video was utilized as the study's primary data source. The goal of the study is to understand how students feel about utilizing TED Talks to improve their English-speaking abilities. This research design used the qualitative method with a narrative inquiry. Eight participants who fulfilled the criteria were involved in this study. An open-ended questionnaire and a semi-structured interview were used to collect data. The results reveal that participants are delighted and have a positive response to their pronunciation and vocabulary abilities. The findings also demonstrate that TED Talks are an effective medium for teaching English speaking skills to EFL learners due to the diversity of topics covered, the speakers, and the regularly updated videos. In contrast, the study's findings showed that TED Talks are a not good medium for understanding grammar and improving fluency. According to the data analysis, although having negative thoughts on two aspects, they still had a positive assessment of the TED Talks video. Thus, we come to the conclusion that TED Talks may be used to apply in speaking skills specifically focus more on the grammar and fluency. To conduct similar research, the researcher suggests future researchers use phenomenological studies involving more participants or even different designs, such as quantitative and mixed-methods studies.
