The first advisor is Prof. Kartin Lihawa, M.Pd and second advisor is Rahmawaty Mamu, S.Pd, M.Pd This recent research aimed to find out how does the implement of picture and picture strategy in students’ reading comprehension. The indicators of reading taken in this research were noun, pronoun, verb and adverb while the treatment of sequence pictures was taken as the kind of picture and picture strategy. The sample of this research was 8 grade students in 8-3 of SMPIT Lukmanul Hakim.the result of this research showed that the total of increasing for the noun indicator an increase of 19.55%, second for the pronoun indicator an increase of 13.75%, third for the verb indicator of 13.13% and finally for the adverb indicator a number 17%. So that experienced a fairly high increase was the noun indicator and the lowest was the verb indicator. After teaching picture and picture strategy to the students, researcher concluded by the hypothesis of the results of this research by calculating the data by using a t-test, the researcher found that tcount ,it was more than tlist or 5,58 ≥ 2,10 It can conclude that picture and picture strategy could improve the students’ vocabulary mastery.
