English Language Education Study Program, Faculty of Letters and Culture, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. This research analyzed the types of men’s language features in the Love Island USA series. The objectives of this research were to classify and analyze the men’s language features in the USA’s Love Island series based on the theory of Coates (2004). This study was conducted using the descriptive linguistic method. Based on the analysis, it was suggested that there were seven types of men’s language features found in the series: hedges (53 data), direct questions (35 data), minimal responses (18 data), compliments (10 data), commands and directives (7 data), theme (4 data), and swearing and taboo language (3 data). Furthermore, after conducting the analysis, aside from the seven categories out of 105 data, ten data did not completely belong to Coates’ type (called the unknown category). The unknown category can be classified into two themes: direct expression and repeated words. This research is expected as a guide for learners who want to learn more about the language features of men. Therefore, this can be a source for further research for those interested in the same fields. Keywords: Sociolinguistics, men’s language features, Love Island USA.
