The first advisor is Dr. Hanisah Hanafi, M.Pd, and the second advisor is Muziatun, S.Pd., M.App.Ling., Ph.D. Language has an important function in society’s life. There is non-standard language which has been known as Slang language. Slang language has very informal expression which is more common in spoken language. In this paper, the writer discusses about analysis of slang used in Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle movie. The purpose of this study are to find the types of slang that based on Patridge (2004) theory and the function of slang language based on Yanchun & Yanhong (2013) theory that uttered by all the actor and actress in the movie. The researcher focuses the study on Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle movie. The researcher uses descriptive qualitative method, where the researcher describes one by one slang words/phrase that occurred in the movie. From the analysis, the researcher found three types of slang out of 11 types that stated by Patridge (2004) theory, there are Society Slang, Public House Slang, and Workmen Slang. To support the analysis, the researcher uses NTC American Slang Dictionary and other related references. The researcher also uses some theories that related to slang language and the definition of slang. To find the words or phrases of slang, the researcher has already selected 30 of slang words/phrases from the movie and analyzes them one by one. After the researcher explains the theoretical framework, researcher tabulated data of slang words or phrases. Then, the researcher analyzes the data through the perspective of slang types and the interpretation into Standard English. It can be concluded that from Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle movir, there can be found the words or phrases of slang so that readers could understand and determined every slang that uttered by each characters in the movie.
