It occurs when somebody agrees with the language variant correlated with language selection because s/he wants to clarify the meaning. On this ground, this research focuses only on slang as a language variety. Slang as the word used in a very informal situation and unsuitable formal situation. For instance, in a popular movie entitled Bad Teacher, the characters frequently use slang words in their conversations. The objective of this study is to identify the types of slang used by the characters in the Bad Teacher movie. This was a qualitative study proposed by Creswell (2009). The data were the slang from natural utterances by characters in the Bad Teacher movie. The technique of analyzing the data in this research applied a descriptive analysis. The researcher used Allan & Buridge theory as the guideline to analyzes types of slang word. After all, the researcher found 25 slang words from Bad Teacher movie.
