Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Supervisor: (1) Dr. Adriansyah Abu Katili, S.S., M.Pd (2) Farid Muhamad, S.Pd, M.A The aim of this study is to find other meanings contained in E.E Cummings selected poems. The major object of this study is focusing on poems by E.E Cummings, there are "maggie and milly and molly and may", "anyone lived in a pretty how town", "all in green" and "somewhere i have never traveled". Researcher use descriptive qualitative methods to describe signs or symbols by looking at theory and analyzing data. This study uses semiotics theory by C.S Pierce, theory by Pierce is a triadic concept. There are signs on representamen, object, and interpretant. Of all poems by E.E Cummings are written in lowercase letters or do not follow existing writing rules. E.E Cummings poems inform the reader that people still need assistance from others. People cannot be greedy, if people want something, and also cannot force what does not belong to us. Thus, the researcher concludes that after seeing and analyzing these poems. It explains that people are living beings who cannot be arrogant, or lose humanity because people are only small pebbles when compared to the world moreover compared to God.
